Your Family—A Good
Reason to Learn
About Electrical Safety
Make sure
your family learns to respect
electricity and to avoid ac-
cidents that can be caused
by coming into contact with it.
It is easy to forget about the
possible harm electricity can
do if it is carelessly handled.
Here are a few simple
guidelines that can help:
1. Install child safety plugs in
electrical outlets.
2. DO NOT install radio and
television antennas near
power lines.
3. Teach your children to fly
kites or model airplanes away
from power lines
4. Teach your children to
NEVER climb trees, poles or
fences around power lines or
utility company substations
5. NEVER use any electrical
appliance around sinks or
bathtubs that are filled with
water
