77ny Tots Tumbling Program Slated
CLIFTON — The Central Texas
Academy of Performing Arts will be-
gin a new session of a Tiny Tots Tum-
bling Program on Tuesday, Feb. 4, for
boys and girls, ages three to eight.
The three and four year olds will
meet cm Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5 p.m.
and the five to eight year olds will meet
from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Cost of the class is
$15 a month.

At Ducks Unlimited Banquet
CLIFTON — The Bosque County
Chapter of Duds Unlimited will host
its annual banquet Saturday, Feb. 22,
at The Armory in Clifton City Park.
Country and Western recording art-
ist Tommy Alverson headlines the
dance which follows the dinner.
Alverson has performed with Texas
music legends like Gary P. Nunn, Ray
Wylie Hubbard, Clay Baker, Chris
Wall, Bill Kitchen, TTie Lost Gonzo
Band, and Robert Earl Keen. He and
Us band have also performed \yith
Country greats including Conway
Twitty, Hank Williams, Jr., Gary
Stewart, Johnny Rivers, Michael Mar-
tin Murphey, and the Burrito Broth-
ers, among others.
Alverson has recorded three al-
bums. The first two have been com-
piled into one compact disc titled
"Texasongs.” The third is a live CD
titled “The Hot of Texas.”
Alverson, who jokingly refers to
himself as the Anti-Garth, is getting
widespread airplay in Europe as well
as in die United States. He works at
the Miller brewery in Fort Worth by
day, and plays his music by night.
Doors will open at the annual
Ducks Unlimited event at 5:30 p.m.
to preview items that will be auc-
tioned or raffled. Dinner begins serv-
ing at 6:45 p.m.
Ticket prices are $45 per couple or
$30 per person, and include one
membership to Ducks Unlimited, din-
ner, dancing, and door prize draw-
ings. Seating is limited, so early
purchase of tickets is advised.

List At Angelo State Univ.
SAN ANGELO - Jake M. Miller
and Justin L Miller, both of Clifton,
are listed on the Dean’s List for the
foil semester at Angelo State Univer-
sity in San Angelo.
Jake M. Miller is a journalism ma-
jor and Justin L Miller is a govern-
ment major.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a
studen must be enrolled as a full-
time student and have at least a 3.25
grade point average.
