Trinity Lutheran Learning
Center Receives Grant
CLIFTON - Trinity Lutheran
Learning Center has been
awarded a $375 grant from Aid As-
sociation for Lutherans. The grant
in designed to encourage the staff
of Lutheran early childhood cen-
ters to pursue professional devel-
opment opportunities.
“We greatly appreciate the sup-
port shown by the AAL,” said
Delores Rangel, director of the cen-
ter. “The grant will allow the staff
more training in working with the
children, and the better trained that
we are, the better the center will be
for the children of the community.”
The grant was provided to more
than 4,000 Lutheran childhood cen-
ters through the AAL Lutheran
Early Childhood Education Grant
Program. Since 1995, AAL has pro-
vided more than $4 million to Luth-
eran centers across the country.
“AAL recognizes the role that
early childhood educators play in
providing the building blocks
needed for children to grow in their
education and their faith,” said
Juanita Harder, manager of AAL
education benefits. “We are happy
to support the work.”
AAL, based in Appleton, Wis., is a
fraternal benefit society of 1.7 mil-
lion Lutherans that provides insur-
ance and volunteer opportunities to
its members.
