Holiday Home, Business
Decorating Contest
CLIFTON The Clifton Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a home
and business decorating contest in conjunction with the Norwegian
Country Christmas Home Tour on Saturday, Dec. 4.
The besi decorated home and business will each receive $50. The only
guidelines will he for businesses to use white lights. Entries must be
mailed lo the Chamber of Commerce office by Nov 24. Judging will take
place between Nov 28 and Dec. I
A list of decorated homes will be inserted in the home tour brochure

Between freezing football games,
band contests, Hot Air Balloon Rallye,
and new business openings, I would
say this is a “happening town!"
November Chamber Lunch
Our monthly meeting is set for
I Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 12 noon at
Harmon's Family Restaurant and

interesting and fascinating speeches
on a new innovative program dealing

given by Carl Foster, superintendent
of Kopperl ISD, and Michael
Cunningham, Kopperl ISD principal
They are developing this pilot
program for Bosque County, and have
been assisted in their development by
Texas State Chamber of Commerce.

were cast with 105 in favor of the tax

place has been killed for one year at
least, it is now up to the taxpayers of
the Clifton School District to erect a
suitable monument, and we believe
that monument should be a modern
school building.
“On the 21st of June, the question
will be voted on, and if it carries, each
taxpayer will have to pay his prorata
part according to what his taxable
property rendition is, which is the
fairest way on earth to build and
maintain a good school *
