Katharine J. Dansby
Funeral services were held
for Katharine Janet Johnson
Dansby on Sunday, July 9, in the
Clifton Flmeral Home Chapel,
with interment at the Valley
Mills Cemetery. She passed
away in peace on Thursday,
July 6, in Round Rock.
Dansby was born to Jesse
Alexander Johnson and Orelia
Georgeanne Neystel Johnson
on March 3,1934, in Clifton. Her
paternal grandparents were
Claus August Johnson and Car-
rie Neystel Johnson and her
maternal grandparents were
Ole B. Neystel and Dora Olson
Neystel, all of the Bosque
County area.
She married C.R. Dansby Jr.,
on Aug. 23,1952, in Loraine, and
the couple spent many happy
years together.
Those who knew her said
that Dansby never failed to
show a warm interest in the
people shp- tnet and knew, and
many win remember that qual-
ity abdut her. Her courage,
strength, patience, and faith as
she lived through many years
of disability and pain was only
surpassed by her compassion
and thoughtfulness for her fam-
ily.
She became confined to a
wheelchair and later lost her
ability to use her hands, and
much of her visual ability, as a
result of untreatable severe
rheumatoid arthritis, which
struck her in 1999. Being close
to her through these times
meant feeling much love and
grace. She rarely complained,
and found many ways to keep
her relationships alive and
strong, continuing to maintain
her wonderful sense of humor
and understanding nature even
as she became gravely ill.
Those around her said that
she was a beautiful and re-
markable human being, and
her memory will be cherished
and all that has been learned
from her sweetness and depth
of spirit.
Dansby is survived by her
husband; her older daughter,
Kerry and her husband David
Frentrup; her younger daugh-
ter, Kendy Dansby; her grand-
daughter Breanna Care Pera
and her husband Dylan of
Wakefield, Mich.; her brother
James E. Johnson and his wife
Gail of Sugarland.
Other surviving family mem-
bers include Ruby and Bub
Godby, Lonnie Renfro, JoNell
and Gerald Meyer, and Corrine
and Lyndol Rabbe. Many loved
nieces and nephews are also
included.
Pallbearers included Brad
Rabbe, Chris Bostick, Andy
Bradshaw, Mike Godby, David
Frentrup, and Mike Benard.
Clifton Flmeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.

ton, Hamilton, Gatesville, and

nity work in Purmela and

husband were active in the
choir at First United Methodist
Church of Evant.
