mission a map depicting prop-

Wimmer added, “I’m just trying to
make sure that we don’t have an
issue at the end.”
Several of the board members
noted that other properties have
been split in the city without hav-
ing to have a formal (final) plat on
the property filed.
City Administrator Charles
McLean said that, obviously, some
of the decisions were made with-
out adhering to Chapter 77 of the
code. He also noted that of the
other split lots, “no one objected
to the decision.”
Lee Donner, an adjacent land-
owner to the lot under discussion,
presented each member of the
board with a map showing where
people live who signed a petition
against the replat of Lot 7.
He also presented the petition
against the replat of Lot 7 which
was signed by: Lee and Leanne
Donner, Ernest and Ann Erickson,
Gayle and Patsy Squyres, Mike
and Stefanie Rountree, Marilyn
and Ronnie Massey, Ned and
Sheila Welch, Jason and Julie
New, Tony and Brenda Eubanks,
and Jeff and Brittany Harris.
Wimmer closed the discussion
saying, “We can’t move any further
on this without a formal applica-
tion and a preliminary plat.”
)t was noted that Conrad and
Cash need the surveyors to have
a copy of the City Code, Chapter
77, so that everything would ad-
here to the local code.
The agenda item was then
tabled until the March meeting.
During general discussion,
Code Officer Paul Phillips said the
Planning and Zoning Commission
needs to consider regulating pro-
pane tanks in the city. He said that,
at this time, there are no ordi-
nances referring to propane
tanks, and that currently there are
two in use, with two other persons
asking if they can put propane
tanks in the city.
He explained that usually when
natural gas is available, cities dis-
allow propane tanks; however, cur-
rently propane isless expensive
than natural gas, which is why
some citizens are wanting to cut
back on their utility costs by put-
ting in propane.
The board indicated it would
take the situation under advise-
ment.
