for the band, “TTiis new
civic adventure in music
promises to provide fun
and fellowship for all.”
Long range goal of the
band is to perform at
various county functions
and perhaps even hold
Sunday concerts during
the summer. Pat Forbes,
Clifton High School band
director, has consented
to dire* the band, and
practice sessions will
probably be held once a
week, on Thursday even-
ings.
‘‘You do n* have to be
that good,” said Weav-
er. “Many people find
that when they leave
high school, there no
longer exists an outlet for
their talent with a musi-
cal instrument. With this
band we are seeking to
solve that.”

the band, one purpose is
to tap the talent resourc-
es in the county to
perform music that cov-
