Everyone can now sign with
relief for another six weeks. The
tests are over and the report
cards have been distributed.
Juniors and freshmen were sub-
jected to Achievement Tests for
three days in which they did
a great deal of thinking, trying
to remember just what it was
that teacher said two years ago
about that subject.
The Cranfills Gap Lions ran
into some difficulties on Thurs-
day night at Walnut Springs. The
Lions played a very good game,
but the final score was 32-27 in
favor of the Hornets. This won't
stop the Lions from doing their
very best at the up - coming
: game against Iredell. The Lions
will host the Dragons on Novem-
[ her 11, game time will be 7:30.

the Cubs in two games of bas-
ketball. The B-team score was
18-29 and the A-team score was
31-43 in favor of the Cubs.

During the game with Walnut
j Springs last week John Hastings
i was taken to the hospital. He
i had a dislocated knee. He is
j back at school this week on
I crutches. Everyone is glad to
' see him back.

j at the Halloween Carnival.
The girls are busy playing
j basketball. We have our second
game with Clifton this week.
Last week was six-week tests.

Last week we were out of
school due to a teachers’ meet-
ing. During half-time at the Gap-
Tolar Game, the junior girls
did a dance routine.
This week the girls are per-
forming on a volunteer basis.
; Last week was supposed to have
j been six weeks test week, but
j the Juniors took Achievement
j Tests for 3 days. I suppose we
I will catch it this week.

in basketball. Both Gap teams
are planning on a big win.
Iredell, our boys are planning

FRESHMAN NEWS
1 Thursday night the Lions were
defeated by the Hornets 32-27
after trailing 32-14 at half-time.
The Lions matched the Hornets
in touchdowns but failed to con-
vert ail their extra points. The
first play from scrimmage in
the third quarter John Hastings
dislocated his knee after catch-
ing a pass from Melvin Stan-
ford. He is now in school but will
be in a cast for six weeks.
The Lions are at home Thurs-
day to meet the Iredell Dragons.

Football season has ended and
our Eighth grade boys have pav-
ed their last Jr. High game
Basketball season is starting but
no game has been scheduled yet.
Another six weeks have gone
