live in Clifton, Mrs. E. C. Berg-
man and Mrs. Palmer Olsen.
Another aunt, Mt§VJLlillie An-
derson, lives at the Geriatric
Center in Meridian. An uncle. A.
M. 'Doc' Anderson, resides in
Clifton.
Mr. Anderson had been a mem-
ber of the Wichita County Bar
Association since 1948. He, had
served as district attorney in
Wichita County from 1953 to
1955. Prior to that he had been
an Assistant district attorney. He
also had served as executive
vice-president of the North Texas
Oil and Gas Association for 11
years.
He had been on the Wichita
County attorney's staff for the
past six years. He was a World
War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife,
Sallie; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
George W. Anderson Sr. of Wi-
chita Falls; three daughters,
Mrs. Karl Haupt of New Orleans;
Mrs. Steve Hutson of Portland.
Ore., and Kristie Anderson of
Los Angeles; one son, Roger of
Portland; two stepdaughters,
Mrs. Richard Russell of Wichita
Falls and Mrs. Charles Northing-
ton of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister. Mrs
J. A. Russell Jr. of Dallas; a
granddaughter, and his two aunts
in Clifton.
The Wichita County Commis-
sioners' Court passed a resolu-
tion in tribute to the memory of
Mr. Anderson Jr. which read:
"Whereas God in His infinite
wisdom has seen fit to take from
us our good friend and fellow em-
ployee, George W. Anderson Jr.,
who served as district attorney
of the 30th Judicial District of
Texas from 1953-55 and as assist-
ant county attorney from 1967-
74, and
"Whereas George was well
known and appreciated as an
able and talented lawyer with a
fine sense of humor, who will be
missed by his many friends and
employees of Wichita County. '
"Now therefore be it resolved
by the Commissioners’ Court of
Wichita County, Texas, that
these sentiments be reduced to
writing, spread upon the minutes
of the Commissioners' Court,
and that a copy of this resolution
be sent to the family."
The resolution was signed by
Whichita County Judge Calvin
Ashley, and Commissioners D. W.
Wiley. G Clark Gresham, E. E.
Voyles, and H. C. Greer.

H. E. Woody, Mrs. Edna D. Wil-
liamson of Iredell: Mr. and Mrs.
H. M. Gordon, Valley Mills, and
Tom F. Lovelady of Clifton. Fif-
teen members Were present.
Pete Elmore gave an enlighteing
report on current legislation.
Plans for the State Convention
in Waco April 21-24 were dis-
cussed.
The District meeting will be
held in the Community Center,
Meridian, March 15 at 2 p.m.
There will be a short chapter
meeting, followed by district
business and snacks. All counties
are expected to attend and bring
along their nominees for a new-
district chairman.
