Onion Creek. This tract is plentifully supplied with both water and

A SYSTEMATIC FRAUD.
ON the 4th day of May 1339 1 sold to one Benjamin C. Buckley
of 31 ssissippi three promissory notes drawn in my favor; one
by Chalks Bigelow dated on thoji of May 1839 for tlOjO and one
ot the same date for 81150 boh due twehe months afier dale and
one drau n by F. R. Lubbock dated on or about the 15th of March
13J9for81000 exact timeof coming due not recollected for all of
which said Buckley paid mo in MAD1SONVILLE and PEARL
RIVER M OXEY which hu since proven a fraudul nt and worth-
less issue. On the 15th of this inst. the agent of the said Buckley
came to this city and agreed to return sand notes to me m considera-
tion that I would return to him the money I had received for them
which I diiin the presence of Messrs. Bigelow Byrne Gravis and
Hughes ill of this city yet the said agent in direct violation of h s
agreement did not deliver the notes to me but has absconded with
them nj doubt with the intention of selling them to some person
lgnoranl of the above facts.
This is therefore to notify a'l persons not to trade for said notes
as the mailers have been fully notified of the frauds practiced on roe
by Buckley and Ks agent anJ payment stopped in tneir hands.
