ALL-CHURCH NIGHT
METHODIST CHURCH
At a meeting of the board of
stewards of the Methodist church
this week, next Wednesday night,
Sept. 11, was chosen as the date
for All-Church Night, annual
meeting of all church members,
and visitors to review the work,
done- in the church during the
past year. General plans for
work of the coming year will also
be discussed.
A devotional program will be
presented, and a social hour will,
be held. All members and visi-'
tors were urged to attend.

Oyster Season
Opened Sunday
September 1st has been set as
the opening date for the oyster
season on the Texas coast. Rock-
port oyster stocks are reported
ready to ahip their prise oysters
to market as soon ss the season
opens
Oysters are In fxcettmt etmdi-
tion, considering the earliness of
the season, according to dealers,
and their quality will improve as
the weather gets cooler. A good
season is anticipated, Rockport
observers said.
Law regulating the use of
dredges in harvesting oysters will
be enforced, in which esae tongs
will have to be resorted to. This
may result in higher prices.

New Pharmacist
at Kirtley Drug
Roy Hartt, who has served peo-
ple in this area for years as a
pharmacist, has been added to
the personnel of Kirtley’s Drug
Store, it was announced this
week. Hart will be in charge of
the prescription department of
the store.
Fifteen years experience as a
pharmicist has qualified Hart as
a top-flight prescriptionist.
While employed at Grant’s
Prescription Pharmacy in Cor-
pus Christi, Hart had the oppor-
tunity of serving Ingleside, Aran-
sas Pass and Port Aransas people,
and said he would welcome them
to call on him at his new post at
Kirtley’s.
