The marriage of Mrs. Dena
Franklin and R. E. Hewlett was
solemnized at the home of Rev. S.
S. Davis last Saturday at 8 o'clock
•with ReV. Davis officiating.
Mrs. Hewlett has made her
home in Ingleside for the past few
years, and is owner of the Sugar
Bowl Drive In stand. Mr. Hewlett
is employed with the Humble Re-
finery.

HEARS GARDEN REPORTS
The Ingleside Home Demonstra-
tion club met Thursday at (the
home of Mrs. W. B. Neal where
an interesting program on loyalty,
fairness and open minds, was given

salad course was served to twelve
members and two guests.

METHODISTS PLANNED
The Methodist Missionary So-
ciety met Monday afternoon in the
educational building with Mrs R.
L. Hovey leader of the program
on “Beyond National Horizons—
International Friendship.”
The opening song was "ThJ
Morning Light is Breaking.” Tak-
ing part on the program were Mrs.
Jack Matthew and Mrs. W. Col-
lins. The meditation was given bv
Mrs. L. E. Ward. .

with Mrs. Wilbur Edwards presid-
ing, committees were named for
•the annual picnic held by the
group.

license plates for the Crosley are
only $2.80 per year.

ARE NAMED BY BOARD
At a meeting of the Ingleside
school board Tuesday night Miss
Mavis Parker was elected secre-
tary to the superintendent of the
Ingleside schools, Mis* Elizabeth
Colvin of San Antonio was elect-
ed teacher of home economics and
science and Miss Alice Anderson
of Karnes City, physical education
and science teacher. At a pre-
v:ous meeting Thomas P. Dailey of
San Saba was elected principal of
the grammar school.
L. H, Blair, principal of the In-
gleside high school, was a visitor
here Monday from Kingsville
where he is attending the session of
school at A. and I. College.
Miss Winona <Ttne of Dublin
has returned home after a visit
with Mt. and Mrs. Bert Rucker.
