to end six feet wide ; floor or brick raised I
foot above the level ; 2 outer doors and 4 in
ner doors ; 12 windows of 18 lights of 10x12
grass j the second sloiy to be in one room ;
the floor to be planked and laid with brick in
cement : 14 windows of the same size as those
below ; the roof to be tin four sided. All oil
the mateiials to be of the best and the work
to be well done. The cash will be paid as
the work juogresses and advances will be
ade if good security is given. The house
to be completed by the first of March 1852.

trict Clerk of said county in which he allege
that the said Thomas S. Lubbock on the 29ih
day of September x. r. 1S15 uas appointed
administrator or the estate of the aid John
W. N. A. Smith and llmtoii the said 29ih day
of September a. d. 1S45 the said defendants
made thsir certain u riling obligatory and
signed the same whereby they acknowledged
themselves held and firmly bound unto Robt.
J. Calder Judge of Probate and his succes-
sors in office in the sum of fit e lliouanil dol-
lars conditioned that the said Thomas S.
Lubbock should well and truly perfoim all
and singular the duties of administrator of
said estate that were or might be required of
him by law ; thai the said bond was duly
executed and delivered to the said Calder and
is now on file in the office of the county clerk
of said rounty. Thai the said Thomas S.
Lubbock acted as said administrator until the
the 27th day of August a. ij. 1S50 al wliirli
lime his letters were revoked : thai negro
slave belonging to said estate to the value of
live thousand dollars and goods and chattels
of said estate to the value of five thousand dol

chattels belonging to said estate ; that be did

sell the property of snul rstatc in conformity
to law or in accordance with the orders ol
said Probate Court that he neglictril to pay
the expenses of the Ial illne" and funeral ex-
penses of the said John W. N. A. Smith that
lie neglected to render an arcnunl of hi" act-
ings and doings a said administrator as re
quired by law thai he neglected to pay the
debt" of said estate as durrlrd by law thai
he imnronerly naid over money belonging to
said estate that at a sale of propirly nf said
estate he being administrator purchased cer-
tain negro slaves of the value of five thousand
dollars that he neglected to render his ac-
counts to llie Piobate Couit or to arrount foi
the property of aid rtate thai he combined
with the said T. F. MrKinncy and F. I!. Lub-
bock to defraud the said estate the heir" and
creditors thereof and that they natrd and
converted to their oun use the negro "lavc3

own use the goods and chattels aforesaid of
the value offive thousand dollars that Joseph

British Review" owes its establishment In the
last great crclen-licjl movement in Scotland
and i not ultra in its views on any one of the
grand departments of human knowledge; it
was originally edited by Dr. Chalmers and
now since lit death is conducted by his son-in-law.
Dr. Ilanna associated with Sir David
Brew ier. Its literary character is of the very
highest order. The " Westminster" though
reprinted under that title only is published in
England under the title of the " Foreign Quar-
terly and Westminster"' it being in fact a union
of the two Reviews formeily published and
reprinted under separate title. It ha" there-
fore the a Ivamage by this combination o.
uniting in one work the best features of both
as heretofore isued.
