Stanley Polk sold his 40
John Deere tractor to Ted
Alley last week. He had
purchased the tractor from
Robert Stovall’s in Cooper in
the spring of 1953. Ted’s dad,
Wendell Alley, was working
for Stovall’s at the time.
Wendell delivered the tractor
to Stanley. Stanley always
took good care of that tractor.
It never sat out in the weather.
It always was kept in a barn.
Stanley always used the
tractor to plow his garden. He
worked for Mr. Alvin Welch
some. He used that tractor to
plow for Mr. Welch.
Mrs. Mack Larkin called
me one day last week. She is
doing well.

Heather Murray helped
Gary with the sermon by
leading the singing, leading
the responsive reading, and
reading the scripture. Our
choir sang the lovely song,
“God of Grace and God of
Glory.” Our Vacation Bible
School will be July 26,27, and
28 at 6 to 8 p.m. All children
are invited to attend.
