Hello my name is Bashful. I was very shy when I
first got to the shelter but now I love to be petted and
held. I am about 8 months old, female and I was
spayed on Friday. I am current on my vaccinations.
I am ready for my forever home. Come visit me and
my friends at the Crowley Animal Rescue Shelter at
101 E Hampton or call 817-297-2201 x3300.

SCHOOL: Discussion

and let (VLK) do this
building and still open
the door up for another
firm to join us and may-
be pickup some more
work,” Trustee Sherri
L. Whiting said. “As the
development comes in,
we are going to see more
growth (in the district).”
The board will make
the decision on the ar-
chitect in its June or
July meeting.
“We’ve used the same
functional plan for each
building (in previous
construction) and that
cuts out some of the ar-
chitectural fees and time
it takes to do that,” Pow-
ell said. “VLK has given
us in the past a rate of
two-thirds of what it
would otherwise cost us
in terms of design and
development.”
The feeder pattern has
yet to be established, but
Powell said Sue Crouch
Intermediate and S.H.
Crowley Intermediate
would be able to handle
additional students with
minor modifications.
The new school would
be the first to open in
the district since the
addition of Mary Har-
ris Intermediate, David
L. Walker Intermediate
and the Bill R. Johnson
CTE Center in 2010.
“Hopefully our tax
base will begin growing
again along with the de-
velopment that occurs
so we can keep up with
the need for facilities,”
Powell said.
