We extend our sympathy to John
and Thelma Fish on the death of their
son, Charlie Lee Martin.
Metra Prewett is a patient in Beth-
ania Hospital. We wish her a speedy
recovery.
Wednesday Bible study was taught
by Bro. Bob Kitchell. He used various
passages of scripture on the love of
the Father for His children. Attending
were Nita Goodwin, Herschel Akers,
Josie Lin deman, Viola Lowack, Mau-
dell Bennett, Pattie Pippin, Bess Daw-
dy, Gladys Kile, Mary Fish, Maggie
Whisenant and Tommy Maag. Hazel
Lear led singing with June Light
playing accompaniment
December and January birthdays
were celebrated Wednesday. Emma
Hannah and Anna Banks were 93 in
December. Emma Meyer, May Garrett
and Gladys Kile celebrated January
birthdays. We enjoyed good musical
entertainment by John Clark and Bob-
by Beck of Wichita Falls and Sam
Lowack and June Light. It was a good
day to be inside enjoying a party rath-
er than the icy outdoors.
Fr. Peter brought Holy Commun-
ion Friday morning. Luis and Maria
Carcano brought Communion Sun-
day.
Jay Stewart and June Light led sing-
ing while Ruth Moore taught Sunday
school.
Afternoon services were conducted
by Bro. Bob Kitchell and members of
the Assembly of God Church.
We welcome J.D. Brown as a new
resident
Mr. Burgman of Snyder, Oklahoma
visited John Fish.

Brown-Hoff United Saturday, January 18
Sherry Renee Hoff and Matthew
Sydney Brown were united in marriage
at 7 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 1992
at Floral Heights United Methodist
Church in Wichita Falls with the
Rev. Fred Utz of the First United
Methodist Church of Nocona officiat-
ing.
Parents of the bride are A1 and
Cathy Hoff of Scotland. The groom's
parents are Aileen Brown and the late
Sydney Brown of Albuquerque, New
Mexico.
Doris Hourigan served as maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Darla Ab-
shier, Sandra Ross, Codie Canada and
Jessica Moer. Codie and Jessica are
both nieces of the bride.
Greg Brown, brother of the groom,
served as best man. Groomsmen were
Jeff Young, Tracey Kitts, Clayton
Hoff and Joe Hoff, brother of the
bride. Ushers were Clayton Hoff and
Joe Hoff.
Trainbearer was Dustin Burks and
flower girl was Brittni Burks, both
nieces of the bride. Ringbearer was
Tyler Brown, son of the groom. Can-
dlelighters were Jarrod and Dee Can-
ada, nephews of the bride.
The bride was presented in marriage
by her father. She presented a rose to
her mother and the groom’s mother.
She wore a satin ivory wedding gown
with iridescent beads covering the
high front neck of the dress. The
sleeves were long, laced and poufed at
the top with silk rose buds. The train
was trimmed with floral lace. A large
satin bow accented the bodice in the
back.
The bridemaids wore a dress with a
black velvet bodice and gathered
poufed sleeves. The full skirt was a
long brocade wine red floral satin. The
trainbearer wore a dress with a black
velvet bodice and gathered poufed
sleeves. The skirt was full tea-length
brocade floral ivory with a large ivory
satin bow in the back with satin
rosebuds attached. The flower girl was
dressed in a long ruffled trained ivory
silk dress with pearl beaded front to
match the bride.
Itie groom, best man, groomsmen,
ringbearer and candlelighters all wore
black tuxedos with ivory shirts and
black boots.
The church was decorated with two
large vases of red and champagne
roses with greenery and baby’s breath.
Large tiered candelabras decorated the
altar. Large red bows decorated the
pews.
The reception and dance was given
by the bride's parents at The Woman's
Forum. The rehearsal dinner was
given by the groom's mother at the
Sheraton.
The bride is a graduate of Archer
City High School and Midwestern
State University. She is a Special Edu-
cation teacher at Bowie ISD. The
groom is a graduate of New Mexico
Military Institute and New Mexico
State. He is also a teacher at Bowie
ISD and a rancher.
The couple is planning a honey-
moon to coincide with spring break in
March to either Victoria Island, Van-
couver, Canada or Mexico. They will
reside at the groom's ranch in Spanish
Fort near Nocona. .

while we were in Houston, also since
we have returned home. Rena and
