James W. Ehlinger, son of Alex and
Florence Ehlinger of Devine, has
been promoted to his present rank
while serving aboard guided missile
destroyer USS Farragut, homeported
in Norfolk, VA.
A 1983 graduate of Devine High
School, he joined the Navy in July
1983.
Rocky Mountains added to the trip’s
success.
Study sessions led by the Rev. Bert
Clayton, Janice Clayton, and JoLynn
Bragg were on “What is God Like”,
“A Still Small Voice”, and “How Do I
Know My Values Are Christian?”.
The closing commitment service led
by Rev. Clayton centered on the
meaning of prayer.
Attending the ski-study retreat
were: Justin, Jim, and Chad Hayes;
John R. Faseler; John F. Faseler;
Jonas Hackebeil; Nathan Carroll;
Trey Glasscock; Dina Keilman;
Melinda Meyer; Sherri Oefinger;

Ken Kuykendall, Marty Del Bosque;
and Glen, JoLynn, Shelly and David
Bragg.
