Gray Institute. The Institute
was host to a Canadian trade
delegation visit by Douglas
Branion, Consul General of

Because of the Canadian gov-
ernment’t strong emphasis on

representatives from Orange,
Hardin, and Jefferson counties
reported to them the available
resources and general statistics
of their areas.

Hardin County was plans by
the Silsbee Chamber of Com-
merce to appear before the
County Commissioners on Oc-
tober 1 to request that the
court adopt a resolution in
support of an Industrial De-
velopment Corporation - the
purpose of which would be to
issue industrial revenue bonds.
He said this would be an
incentive for new business and
industry to consider locating in
the county. Underhill also told
the audience that the Chamber
had established a joint indus-
trial development and sites
committee whose responsibility
is to investigate potential in-
dustrial sites in the county and
to educate the citizenry as to
the current development
needs.

opener, and downed East
Chambers 35-14 in game two.
According to Coach Spacek,
he feels that his Raiders could
find the key to victory in the
Buna secondary.
"SFA threw for over 200
yards in the 28-21 losing effort
last Friday."
“We hope to throw more than
usual," said Spacek, “In hopes
of opening up the ground
game."
Spacek said everyone was
healthy as of today and was
working hard in preparation of
the contest. He added that
tailback Floyd Boyett would
stay at that position in place of
Kevin Flanagin, giving Flana
gin more time to devote to his
defensive duties. Flanagin
posted 12 tackles in last weeks'
win over Hamshire-Fannett.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30
p.m. at Cougar Stadium in
