Funeral services for Mittie
Irene Flowers, 78, of Honey
Island were held at 2 p.m. June
1 in Pace Funeral Home in
Kountze. Burial was in Holland
Cemetery. Rev, Paul Gallion,
Rev. Donald Hendrix and Rev.
Aubrey Whitlock officiated.
She died May 31 in St.
Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont
after an illness.
Survivors include her hus-
band, Emmett Flowers of Hon-
ey Island; a daughter, Marilyn
Eddins of Kountze; and a
brother, W.R. (BUI) Simpson of
Beaumont.
She was a lifelong resident of
Hardin County.
Pallbearers were Leroy Ful-
ler, Gerald Stackpole, Kenneth
Simpson, BUly Flowers, How-
ard Flowers and T.O. Eddins.

A native of Port Bolivar, she
lived in Lumberton 10 years.

per: a daughter, Faye Coates of
Lumberton; sisters, Lottie
O’Shea of Corpus Christi and
Audrey Beaumont of Baytown.
