Thanksgiving Day is over but
we want to continue to thank
Him for all his many blessings.
And what a blessing it was to go
to the nursing home last Wednes-
day afternoon and help them cel-
ebrate the November birthdays.
The event was well attended by
many members.
We had a wonderful Sun-
day morning service, as usual,
By Donna Boughton
Everyone had a wonderful
Thanksgiving and was ready
to share God’s goodness as we
gathered for services.
Bro. Bobby’s devotional was
about the things God sees. His
text was from Hebrews. Dis-
missal to classes followed.
The young people and Ms.
Donna studied about the special
testing of Abraham’s faith with
his son Isaac. The lesson title
was “God’s Test of Laith.”
The adult class began a new
series titled “Why Christmas?”
focusing on the meaning of
Advent and its emphasis on pre-
to us.
Lollowing a good evening
message, the service ended with
an adult game night.
Remember all those who are
ill in your prayers.
with great comments from many
attending Sunday School. Broth-
er Wayne’s message was from
Psalms, “God Is Creator of All.”
Our Sunday night singing was
cut short due to low attendance,
but we enjoyed singing praises to
our Lord and Savior.
Our youth will attend a fel-
lowship next Saturday along with
the Methodist Church youth.
Please keep all the sick in
your prayers and hope to see
you in our next service, the Lord
willing and the Saints don’t rise.
paring our hearts for Christ.
Although Bro. Bobby and Bro.
Mike, as well as others, were
fighting illnesses that inhibited
their singing, we still managed
to sing the congregational songs
that brought emphasis to Bro.
Mike’s message from Acts.
Many told of God’s good-
ness and blessings they encoun-
tered throughout the Thanksgiv-
ing week. A consensus was that
God is good all the time.
May you have a wonderful
week as we continue to look
for the ways God blesses us and
give thanks for His goodness.
By Marie Kinsey
Pastor Mike’s sermon Sun-
day was “Solutions Lor Life’s
Problems: How To Get Through
What I’m Going Through,” con-
cerning not giving in to Satan,
and believing that God has the
answers.
Attendance was 436.
The men’s breakfast is Satur-
day, December 1, at 8:00 a.m.
We still need help in the nurs-
ery. See Sasha Stewart.

“Laith comes by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17
Terry Carter and Rosanna led
the opening song. John Hines
read the names on our prayer
list. Llo Hines read the scripture
and led the Sunday School les-
son in the absence of Mildred
Hines and Ron Sallee.
Bro. Joe’s morning message
was from Romans titled “The
Holiness of God.”
Specials were by Tommy
Gaston and by Llo Hines.
Sunday evening was a ser-
vice of Thanksgiving and song
praise.
Wednesday night’s service at
the Senior Suite Care and Rehab
center was great. We appreciate
having several of the residents
come for the service.
This Wednesday, November
28, will be the regular Bible
study at Daugherty.

Palestine this week for Thanks-
giving with his family.
