tist Church met Thursday noon
for their annual covered dish
luncheon and Christmas party
at the Educational-Recreational
building.
Rev. Doyle Darwin delivered
the invocation.
Following the luncheon Mrs.
Marie Pochman class teacher
welcomed the guests and class
members present and announc-
ed the program for the afternoon.
Mrs. P. A. Pittman led the
group in prayer followed by the
Scripture brought by Rev. Dar-
win. A solo was sung by Mrs.
Lucille Pylo accompanied at the
piano by Mrs. George Cagle. t
Christmas carols were sung
by the group and gifts wore ex-
changed. Those enjoying:' the occasion

Christmas Party
Bartlett HD Club held its an-
nual Christmas party with a
covered dish luncheon at the
American Legion Hall at noon
last Tuesday.
A short business meeting was
conducted.
A Christmas program direct-
ed by Miss Bertha Ehly con-
sisted of Christmas stories
games and Christmas carols by
the group accompanied at the
piano by Miss Martha Schrock.
Secret Pal names wore reveal-
ed as club members received
their gifts from the tree.

Williamson County NFO del-
egates and members attended
the largest and most successful
national convention in the his-
tory of the National Farmers
Organization last week in Louis-

Williamson County as delegates
were Mr. and Mrs. Alvm Marek
of Bartlett.
A record 11000 voting dele-
gates attended two days of
meetings which charted the
future of agriculture and stren-
gthened the position of the fam-
ily type farm in Rural America.
Delegates heard fact-backed
reports from various commod-
ity department heads calling
attention to price increases be-
ing received by NFO members
for their products through the
NFO collective bargaining pro-
gram. Growth of the organiza-
tion also was reflected by the
reports of many new commod-
ities added to the bargaining
program.
The NFO announced a "gi-
gantic" organisational drive
this winter designed to contact
every farmer who is not a mem
ber of rhe NFO and asK mm to
join.
