Miss Kathy Meissner Ronald Pitts
Wed In Saturday Afternoon Ceremony
St. John Lutheran Church
was the setting for the Satur-
day afternoon wedding of Miss
Katheryn Louise Meissner and
Ronald Mac Pitts of Temple.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. (Sonny)
Meissner of Bartlett and the
parents of the groom are Mr.
and Mrs. Weldon P. Pitts of
1705 South 57th St. Temple.
Rev. Robert P. Thronson per-
formed the double ring cere-
mony before an altar flanked
with white flowers and burning
tapers. Candelabrums holding
white and purple tapers entwin-
in lilac satin ribbon. The molded
bodice centered a rosette of lilac
and pearls and vertical bands
of Venice lace with threaded
ribbon featuring long Bishop
sleeves French cuffed at the
wrists with petal points over
the hands. A controlled bouf-
fant skirt held a lace encircled
chapel length train. Her silk
illusion veil fell free to chapel
length. Her heirloom headpiece
of lilac floweretts and pearl
buds and the roseete were worn
by the bride's grandmother
Mrs. Louise Meissner of Bart-
lett on her wedding day Dec-
ember 29 1908. She carried a
bouquet of white carnations
centered with an orchid.
Miss Marjorio Fischer of
Bartlett served as maid of hon-
or. Bridesmaids were Miss
Sharoa Gebert of LaGrange
Miss Joyce Klotz of Holland
Mrs. Terry Norman cousin of
the bride of Bartlett and Miss
Pam Pitts sister of the groom
of Temple.
The attendants wore empire
designed floor - length lilac
gowns trimmed with white lace
threaded with purple satin rib-
bon featuring a vest appear-
ance. Th"ey carried baskets of
multi-cokared asters.
