REA DEATHS
J.B. Hampton
J.B. Hampton, 85, died Saturday in a
Wichita Falls hospital.
Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday
at Central Baptist Church, three miles
east of Chico, Texas, on State High-
way 1810, with the Rev. Buddy Ward,
retired pastor, officiating. Graveside
services were at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday
at the Megargel, Texas Cemetary with
Harvey McQueen officiating. Ar-
rangements were under the direction
of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mr. Hampton was bom Feb. 28,
1910, in Westover, Texas. He was a
retired mechanic. He was a member of
the Church of Christ. He was a staff
sergeant in the Army Air Forces dur-
ing World War II. He was a member of
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.
10700 in Chico, the Big Sandy Mule
Riders, the Okie Trail Rider Associa-
tion and the Good Sams Club. He
participated in the Texas Sesquicen-
tennial Wagon Train that traveled
from Sulfur Springs to Fort Worth and
the Bicentennial Wagon Train that
traveled from Houston to Valley
Forge, Penn. He was also a member of
the Eighty-Niners Land Run Ride in
Oklahoma.
Survivors include a step-son, Gene
Garrett of Chico, Texas; a brother,
O.V. of Megargel, Texas; two sisters,
lone Harwell and Irue Routon, both of
Olney; four grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
Patsy Ann Ford
Patsy Ann Ford, 65, died Tuesday,
Nov. 7, in her home in Wichita Falls.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 10, in Highland Ceme-
tery in Iowa Park with the Rev. Aidan
Donlon officiating. Arrangements
were under the direction of Owens &
Brumley Funeral Home.
Mi-s. Ford was bom April 12,1930,
in Holliday, Texas. She was a retired
civil service clerk typist and a member
of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She
had lived in Wichita Falls for 40 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Cyn-
thia Humphrey of Wichita Falls; four
grandchildren; and three great-grand-
children.
