17th In the County courtroom
to discuss and formulate plans
for the 1970 Centennial Celebra
tion.
Meeting was callisl to order
by president. Ivan Alexander.
Jr., and the following business
was conducted.
The board of directors author-
ized Mattie Sisk and Be'ty Dca
ton to carry out plans for the
1970 Fair Ilook. which will not
only be larger in size this year
but will also include quite a bit
of historical information
The board of directors also
approved a proposal to borrow
$1,000 for Fair Ground Improve-
ments which will include new
outdoor restrooms, an outdoor
stage and other needed improve-
ments to the exhibit building
and pounds
Perhaps the most significant
action of the group was the de-
cision to sponsor Miss Teenage
America for an appearance on
