LECCION XX
EL SEPTIMO Y DECfMO
MANDAMIENTOS
“No hurtaras—No codieiaras Jos
bienes ajenos”
Un Rey de los Judios, que se
llamaba Acab, quiso hacer una
huerta en un terreno al lado de
su palacio. Este terreno era de
Nabot. PIdio a Nabot que se lo
vendiese, pero este no quiso por
la herencia d.e su padre. Eno-
jado, Acab, se lo eonto a su es-
posa, Jezabel, quien busco la
manera de conseguir el terreno:
arreglo que se acusara falsa-
mente a Nabot de haber blasfe-
mado contra Dios y contra el
rey. Los Judios mataron a pedra-
das a Nabot, y Acab se adueno
de su terreno. Por esta gran in-
justicia Dios dijo al profeta
Elias que la familia de Acab se-
ria destrujda, y que los perros
comerian a su esposa Jezabel—
y asi sucedio. (II Reyes, Cap.
21, 22).

REFLEXION:— _ _
Hemos sido creados para- el
.cielo, y, los bienes de esta fcierra
no pueden haeemos verdadera-
mente felices. Si Dios quiere q’
seamos pobres debemos soportar
la pobreza con paciencia. Casi
siempre la riqueza es mas bien
un estorbo para la salvacion; y
de todos modos, con la muerte
se deja todo. He cogido de la
casa dinero u otras cosas sin
permiso? He robado algo mas?
Cuanto, o de que. valor? Estoy
dispuesto a devolverlo pronto?
He daniado bienes ajenos? He
pagado mis deudaiJ? He tenido
envidia de lo que poseen otros?

family that prays together will
stay together.”
