Members of the Athletic
Booster Club met Thursday,
April 25, with City Ad-
ministrator Danny Parker,
Superintendent Tom Bai-
ley and Olney ISD Board
members Jamie Kulhanek,
Chance Fite and Kyle Hin-
son to discuss the possibility
of building a new baseball
and softball complex. Lisa
Sprague opened the meet-
ing in the absence of her
husband, Howard Sprague,
who serves as booster club
president.
"We're here to have an
open discussion about our
baseball and softball com-
plex and generate ideas on
how to improve the facil-
ity," Sprague said.
Bailey said the current
complex belongs to the city,
and the school district pays
for electricity and main-
tenance costs during the
spri
for use of the fields. They
have also put in new bleach-
ers, changed out lights an-
nually and added new dirt
as needed.
"It's not a showplace, we
realize that," Bailey said.
"It's not the way we would
like it to be, either."
He said the district's main-
tenance department cleans
up before all games, but
that by game time it could
be hard to tell.
"It gets a lot of use," he
continued, noting that they
even put up heavy duty
