Food stamp recipients can
use 50g, $2 and old 55 food
sumps until Aug. 31, the U.S.
Dept, of Agriculture (USDA)
announced today,
USDA Introduced a new food
sump series—$1, $5 and $10—
on March I with a deadline of
June 30 for spending old series
food sumps at authorized re-
tail food stores and meal ser-
vices. The deadline was ex-
tended to allow recipients who

after a 22-day tour of several
European countries. Mrs. Strick-
land has written the following
resume of their trip!
Here we go Into the wild
blue yonder—leaving from
Dallas we landed In Brussels,
Belgium. We transferred to a
private motet coach far a drive
into Prance, a day of seeing
Paris, famous old churches,
die beautiful Public Square in
a iwttln* jf fountains and col-
onades, tne kternai riurne
nutklu, the tomb of the Un-
known Soldier, the Eiffel
Tower and the magnificent
Tomb of Napoleon, and much
more.
Leaving Paris we arrived at
Bet tie, the capital of Switzer-
land, seeing the picturesque
charm of old streets. Its hfa-
tarlcal fountains, the Federal
Palace with a marvelous view
of the Alps, the Clock Tower
of the 15th Century and the
Gothic Cathedral centuries
old.
Then we journeyed to Luy-
ano and continued from Breg-
aglia Valley over tho Maloja
Pass to St, MesiU. This U
where we had snow and a sight
of beauty.
At Bolzao, luly we dept In
a beautiful hotel 400 yean
old. We moved on to Vlllach,
A’atrls, yeivaodlnj via Murv-
zuschlag, over the Semmertng
Pass 3,000 feet to Gloggnicz,
visiting the 13th century cathe-
dral.
In Vienna we sew magnifi-
cent buildings, Qpera House,

Louise fine waked In the Rains County ASCS office as a tempo-
rary clotk In 195C and 1957. Her regular employ men' began In
19&t, but she was out of the office for 11 months from Sept. 1973
until August 1974 because of a required reduction In face. She
has a good knowledge of the prolan* administered thru the
ASCS office and was promoted to General Propam Assistant in
February of this year. She and her husband, James, and daugh-
ter Penny, enjoy fishing, skiing and traveling.--REPORTED

ube River beautiful buildings,
walls, castles and parks were
seen.
Leaving Salzburg, viewing
the Bavarian Alps, we came
to M inleh, Germany where
we visited the Bavarian Royal
Castle, the Mad King's Dream
Castle and the Bavarian
Churches.
Next stop was Frankfort from
where we motored along the
Rhone River viewing the vine-
yard-clad hills and on to Ko-
blenz and Arrarerdam, Hol-
land where wo stayed over
night, traveling by staamar to
England and by rail to London
and our hotel.
Morning sight-seeing Includ-
ed the city's lighter side: St.
James Palace, residence of
the Court, then to the end of
rhe Royal Avemyi- the Mall
to Buckingham Palace, West-
minster Cathedral, Tower of
London built by william die
Conqueror, now containing
the Crown Jewels and visit to
Westminster Castle.
Now we leave London with
all Its beauty and glory to re-
turn home to the good ole
USA by Air 747. It was a
great and wonderfsl trip.

weekend, only one DW1. But
on Saturday afternoon another
of Kenneth Moody's bulls was
found dead and mutilated.
This was a white-face bull
weighing about 13C0 1L..

and that all farmers and ranch-
ers are urged to report to the
Sheriff's office any case so
that investigation could be
made.
There was a case of a mare
with a lacerated bag, belong-
ing to Mt. Richards. No evi-
dence of an accident being
found.
James Davis was hired as
Deputy Saturday morning.

duties In Rains County as State Trooper. He graduated from the
DPS Academy in June of this year. He comes here from Sulphur
Springs where he was employed with the Hopkins County Sheriff

Highway Patrol found Mayor
Buster Fleming illegally park-
ed in Uie City of Enury last
Wednesday and while writing
up tl>e ticket he told tlie Mayor
that he was sorry far having

Mayor Fleming told Scon
not to feel sorry fta him at all,
that he should write him a tic-
ket just like he would far any
one else.
The Mayor stated that since
he and the citizens of Emory
have been wanting law en-
forcement in the City that he,
as well as any other citizen,

After the accident he crawl-
ed into the house to call his
wife, Nona, for help. He had
I oat a good deal of blood, and
dose friend, Mrs. Cbetta Nix,
was called, who helped until
the arrival of the ambulance,

ed to the hospital by antu-
lance, with John Spence, Lean
Clerk and Eddie Jonas.
