A 6-year old girl was struck
and killed by an auto Monday
tnaning in Quitman as she
crossed a highway to board a
school bus, and a 9-year-old
boy war struck and injured
Monday afternoon after getting
off a Chapel Hill school bus in
Tyler.
Dead is Vickie Lynn Melton,
daughta of Mr. & Mrs. Jim-
my Melton of Quitman, who
had started across stale High-
way 37 in the semi-darkness.
