it has no superior and we doubt if an equal. Both in tone
finish and quality it is fully warranted, and we back the instru-
ment by our reputation. Besides the Eoggan, we still handle and
carry in stock 10 distinct makes of pi an or in different styles, com-
prising the world’s leaders. We can furnish a, Stein way, Chieker-
mg, Knabe, Weber or* Emerson as low and on as easy payment as
they can be purchased anywhere- Dou.t pay Commission agents,
strangers and half progt men ifJOO and $500 for unknown boxes
when you can get a standard first grade piano for that money.
Parties selling goods on commission or on half the profits ha ve
do regular price for the boxes they sell. The more they get the
more protit there is to divide. Purchasers of pianos would dowel!
to hesitate before placing their orders for unknown makes of Pia-
nos with strangers, commission agents and half profit men. We
handle the world’s best productions in llanos and we handle the
cheapest pianos likewise, but remember we warrant everything we
sell and can always be found to make our warranty good. You
run no risk in buying a piano from us. We will give you better
value for your money than you can get anywhere and sell you on
easy payments WITHOUT NOTES.

THE S. S. S. OF M. M.
The regula r weekly meeting of
the S. S. of M. M. was held at the
den one night this week, presi-
dent Tobe Fox in the chair. Af-
ter the regular roll call, which
showed almost all members
present, and the reading and ap-
proving of the minutes oi the
last meeting, came on to be con-
sidered the recent applications
for membership. The first appli-
cation considered was that of
Jim Power. The president di-
rected that the applicant, who
was waiting in the ante room be
prepared for his presentation be-
fore the meeting, whereupon the
initiating gang proceeded to
their duty. In a few moments’
he was ushered into the presence
of the meeting. He was clad in
a plain hickory shirt above a
pair of neat blue denniins pants
rolled half way to his knees, a
large spur ad domed either of his
bare heels, and dragged heavily
upon the floor as he was led to a
chair directly m front of the
president. His hair was neatly
tied with a whip cord close to
the nape of his neck from whence
it spr angled after the fashion of
a whist broom. After U < king the
seat assigned him and having
the hoodwimp removed from his
eyes he gazed steadily upon tin
harsh features of the stern presi-
dent before him, neither looking
to right or left at the rows of
sturdy members. The president
addressed him in substance as
follows; My dear brother
though in years you are few the
many hard lines through your
phiz shows vou have passed
through great experiences, ans-
wer now in the presence of the
members here assembled the
questions I shall ask, that they
may judge whether or not your
application for membership shall
be granted. Your age? twenty
eight. Of course you are unmar-
ried? Ye-s. Now, Mr, j8— as
stated in your application, you

Tony Straueh was down in the
Lamar country last week and
brought back with him (a curio-
sity in the line of vegetables)
two radishes about ten inches in
length and which had grown to
get her in the shape of an auger,
each twisting itself around the
other several times. This vege-
table was grown by Mr. E. S.
Wiusor who says he got the seed
from T. C. Heard’s store, but we
think he must be mistaken about,
that, as the plant gives evidence
of having, grown from seed that
had been mixed up with consid-
erable “tanglefoot,, and Mr.
Heard and all his clerks are
abstainers.
