AUXILIARY
The regular meeting of St.
Helena’s Woman’s Auxiliary
met on Thursday afternoon at
the Parish Hall with about
twenty five present. Mrs. Otto
Vogt presided. Minutes were
read, treasurer’s report given
along with other business mat-
ters.
The Devotional program, a
resume of the book “Helps To
Prayer” was given by Mrs. Joe
Miller, which proved inspiring.
Guests for the afternoon were
ladies from St. John’s Luther-
an Church who were hearti'y
welcomed.
Hostesses were Mesdames D.
K. Lansing, Joe Sill, and Alfred
McD. Gilliat who served sand-
wiches, cake and coffee.

Sunday being Layman’s Day,
we shall have Harry Dabis, Jr.,
Charge Lay Reader in charge of
the morning service. If last
year’s Layman’s Day can be tak-
en as an example, we are in for
a wonderful experience. We
hope that the membership will
back this program to the limit.
The District Conference of the
Kerrville District •‘wil1 be held
next Tuesday in Hondo begin-
ning at 10. Several from here
plan to attend.
Mrs. Melvin Rossman, presi-
dent of the District Woman’s
Society of Christian Service will
speak to our ladies here next
Wednesday, October 20 at 2:30
p. m. Mrs. Rossman is a good
speaker, and the ladies will a1!
be delighted to hear her.
While the young people are in
their meeting several of the
adults gathered last Sunday
night for bible study. Beginning
next Sunday night we shall give
our attention to the book of
Acts. Ah are yelcome to study
with us.
The Junior Circle members
and their familys are having a
party at the annex Saturday
night at 7:30. All members of
the Circle are urged to come.

dall County, in Boerne, Texas, by
appearing and answering at or be-
fore 10 o'clock A. M. of the first
day of the first term of court which
convenes after the expiration of
forty-two days from the date of the
issuance of this citation, same be-
ing the 8th day of November A. D.
1954, to Plaintiff's Petition filed in
said court, on the 6th day of May
A. D. 1954, ip this causet, number-
ed 550 on the docket of said court
and styled McQuinn Building Ma-
terials, Plaintiff, vs. M. S. Muse et
ux, Defendant.
A brief statement of the nature
of this suit is as follows, to-wit*
Suit on promisory note as is more
fully shown by Plaintiff’s Petition
on file in this suit.
If this citation is not served with-
in ninety days after the date of its
issuance, it shall be returned un-
served.
The officer executing this writ
shall promptly serve the same ac-
cording to requirements of law, and
the mandates hereof, and make due
return as the law directs.

On Oct. 24 the congregation
observes its 25th birthday. God
has been God to us during these
years. May our anniversary ser-
vices show true appreciation,
and mark for all of us a definite
step forward in spiritual, Christ-
like living. “Grow in grace and
in the knowledge of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.” Full
particulars of our celebration
will appear in next week’s paper.
