age at Elm Grove Church in
the southwest part of Van
Zandt County.
Precinct 2 Constable C.B.
Wiley reported last week
that his office recently took
a felony criminal mischief
complaint on damage done
at the church. The report
was made by J.W. Ethridge,
the Elm Grove Crime
Watchers president.
Vandals using a light-col-

did at least$300 worth of
damage to the church’s park-

Deputy Danny Wilson
stopped to investigate the
suspicious vehicle.
Deputies with the Van
Zandt County Sheriff’s Of-
fice aided Henson by identi-
fying the two white male sus-
pects as William “Willie”
Neal Adams Jr., 24 of Grand
Saline and Timothy Steven
Bolt, 44, of Mineola.
After requesting and re-
ceiving consent to search the
vehicle, the officers discov-
ered a large quantity of a
crystal-like substance se-
creted in the trunk area of the
vehicle. The officers said
they believed the substance
to be methamphetamine.
After being placed under
arrest, one of the suspects co-
operated with the officers and
directed deputies to a rural
residence located at 2715 Van
Zandt County Road 1701,
southeast of Grand Saline.
Upon receiving consent to
search the residence by the
home owner, sheriff’s depu-
ties, Henson and Wilson en-
tered the home and quickly
discovered additional con-
traband including a device
believed to be a pipe bomb.
“All officers immediately
evacuated the home, secured
the crime scene and subse-
