from the Prater Ulc mine at Coal Crccktho
scene of yesterdays horror when 225 men
and boys were killed
Urnest McDonald was taken out alive at
a lato hour He bad fallen Into a spring
of water aud was completely covered by
water except bis face when fouud He bad
entered the mluo fourteen minutes after
the other men and his story of the explo-
sion was told while bis breath came In fit-
ful gasps It Is Impossible for hlni to lire
more than a few hours for he Is horribly
mangled Both arms were twisted from bis

examined a number of witnesses but did
