Thanksgiving holiday with the

spent the weekend in Wheelock

Mrs. Theresa Dyer and daugh
ter Suzanne visited in Pettus,
Mathis and Victoria with rela-
tives over the weekend.

spent the weekend in Boerne
with Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Ebens-

SESAME SEED COOKIES
1/2 cup SPICE ISLANDS
Sesame Seed
3/4 cup butter
1-1/ cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp SPICE ISLANDS
Ground Cinnamon
or
1/2 tsp. SPICE ISLANDS
Pumpkin Pie Spice
or
1/4 tsp. SPICE ISLANDS
Ground Cardamon
Toast Sesame Seed in heavy
frying pan, stirring constantly
so seeds will not bum. Cream
butter and brown sugar togeth-
er until light and fluffy. Beat in
eggs, one at a time, along with
vanilla. Sift flour, salt and bak-
ing powder and spice together.
Combine with toasted Sesame
seed. Stir into creamed mixture;
mix thoroughly. Line cookie
sheet with waxed paper. Allow
room for dough to spread. Bake
in a 325 degree oven for 20 to
25 minutes or until cookies are
lightly brown. Remove while
still hot, from waxed paper.

ing from surgery in the Nix
Hospital. Her sister, Mrs. Wal-
ter Pfeiffer is taking care of

Mrs. B. Ebensberger drove to
Dallas on Wednesday to spend
Thanksgiving. Mrs. Ebensberg-
er visited in the home of her son

tion Society of San Antonio. Mr.
Oscar Haas was the recipient of
one of the awards given for his-
torical preservation in South
Texas.

Spooky, halts his play to ease his leg, also in a cast. Pam broke
her ankle in a bike accident. Spooky broke his leg hopping a fence.
