CHRISTMAS
BAKE SALE
Some of the Methodist Youth
are working very hard. They are
working to plan an extra-special
bake sale, a Christmas Bake
Sale.
The proceeds from this sale
will go to some worthy group. It
has not yet been decided to what
group, but probably, it will be
sent to CARE or something of
this sort. The people who re-
ceive this Christmas cheer will
be very thankful. For this rea-
son everyone should come to this
sale-and make it a big success.
This special sale will be held
in front of the Post Office, Sat-
urday, December 14th, at 9
o’clock a. m. Those who wish
may order ahead for whole or
half cakes, Christmas candies
and cookies, cupcakes, and pies.
To order phone 249-2370 or
contact Diane Day. Buy your
Christmas goodies this year in-
stead of baking them yourself.
You may find that they are as
good or even better than your
own.
This group of Methodist
Youth would sincerely appre-
ciate your warm generosity in
buying some of these goodies,

One of the younger nimrods
has set a sort of new precedent,
not only by killing a buck, but
also a fine turkey gobbler, he is
Hal Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Davis, and grandson of
a very outstanding hunter and
sportsman, the late Mr. Otto
Schuetz.
A fine 8-point buck was killed
by Mrs. John Kirschke, Jr. on
their ranch last week.
IN APPRECIATION
I wish to thank all my friends
and relatives for the cards and
flowers sent to me after my ac-
cident and all those who visited
me during my stay in the hos-
pital.
All these kindnesses and
thoughtfulness will always be
remembered. May God Bless
you all.
ltp Eddie Pressler
Five hunters Don Hollon, Char
lie Curington, Frank Newton,
Billy Ehman and Jake Beasley
returned recently from a very
successful hunting trip to West
Texas. They brought home sev-
eral mule deer bucks.
R. N. Allen, Jr. of Inez was
among the lucky hunters while
visiting at the home of his par-
ents at Welfare. The buck had
a exceedingly nice 12-point set
of horns.
Guests of Mrs. Bernard Cart-
wright over the weekend were:
Sister Mary Austin of Ft. Worth
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Traylor and
children of Victoria, Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Cartwright, Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Cartwright and son
Jimmy, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey
Cartwright and children, Mr.

ren and Mr. and Mrs. Harold
