HELPFUL HOME HINTS
When making a number of
children’s garments at one time
it is a good plan to buy extra
cards of matching buttons, so that
if any must be replaced you will
have the same kind on hand.
Sunbaths are fine for young
children if they are accustomed
to them very gradually, but care
should be taken not to burn their
tender skin. Excessive tanning
should also be avoided because it
prevents the ultra-violet rays
from penetrating the skin, and
therefore makes the sunbathe less
effective.
A well-equipped closet planned
for a child so that he may easily
and comfrtably hang up his own
clothes will be far more useful in
teaching order "than many scold-
ings on the subject. Ther should
be low hooks within his reach..

Memphis, Texas last Thursday to
attend the funeral of his nephew,

the accidental discharge of a
shot gun. He remained for a
visit in the home of. Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Baker.
Miss Jbhnye Mytle Mann re-
turned home Saturday from Aus-
tin, Avhere she attended State
University the past term. She
was accompanied by her friend,
Miss Jane Cox, Avho spent a few
days as her guest before going on
to her home in Dallas.
Mrs. Ruth Darsey received a
message Wednesday saying that
her grand-son, J. T. Darsey had
been seriously injured in an au-
tomobile accident at Merkel. A

he will fully recover.
