generous response to the United
Charities' drive for funds, and the
Charities board of directors is now
ready to alleviate suffering and want
during the coming months. With
funds for operation provided, the
board has made plana for efficient
and systematic dispensation of this
money. Headquarters wili be main-
tained at the City Hail in ordtr to
be easily accessible to anyone need-
ing help, and a competent adminis-
trator his been appointed for the
purpose of investigating all appeals
and providing prompt assistance
where needed. ”
