during a ceremony at the First
Baptist Church, Ranger, Texas
The pastor. Rev Bill Hogue, offi-
ciated for the double ring cere-
mony eight o'clock Friday eve-
ning, July 31
The bride, given in marriage by
her father. Mr E C Ewing, wore
a street-length dress of white lin-
en and a white organdy duster
Her accessories were white and she
carried a white Bible topped by
white gardenias and sTpphanoTisv
Maid of honor was Miss Pug
Frasier of Ranger, and Misses Jo
Ann Cook of Graham and Beverly
Crawley of Ranger were brides-
maids.
Jerry Cook, of Graham, brother
of the groom, served as best man
Tommy Nix and Bobby Wilson of
Graham acted as ushers
Following the ceremony, a re-
ception was held in the social
room of the church with Mrs. Pat-
rick E. Cross and Mys M E Ew-
ing as hostesses Miss Sara Beth
King presided at the guest book
Miss Beverly Ciailey and Miss
Donna Blackwell ladled punch and
served cake
The bride, daughter of Mr and
Mrs. E C. Ewing, attended Ran-
ger High School where she was a
popular member of various school
activities including the Sub-Deb
Club
The groom, son of Mr and Mrs
Charles Cook of Graham, is a grad-
uate of Graham High School and
attended Ranger Junior College
Saunders Circle of the First Bap-
tist Church met in the Annex
Tuesday. 4 pm for Bible lesson
with Mrs Bill Rinks as teacher
Mrs James Dye. circle chairman,
was in charge <4 the meeting which
opened with prayer by Mrs. Uxxie
Reed
The Bible lesson was a continu-
ation of "Women of Destiny.” Cir-
cles met together following the
circle meetings for a business
session which closed with prayer
by Mrs. F H Lundy.
Saunders Circle had ten mem-
bers present: Mmes Eddie Lisle.
Florence Graham. Ewing Wallace.
Jake Schlittlcr. Frank Summins.
Jess Wright, ar.d J L. Woods.
where he was a member of the
"R" Association, and an outstand-
ing athlete «
The young couple has establish-
ed residence in Graham where the
groom is emplhved by the Mobley
Engineering Company. —•---

Church S.S. Classes
Enjoy Barbecue
The Builder’s Claw and The
Younger Men’s Bible Class of the
First Christian Church gathered
at Musser's Camp Friday evening
and enjoyed a very delicious chick-
en barbecue The men’s class was
host to the occasion Motorboat
rides were supplied by R H.

Mr. and Mrs. Musser were very
hospitable in opening wide the
doors of their lake cabin to the
picnickers. This added much to-
ward the success of the occasion.
Party Honors
Wanada Ray Morrow
Wanada Ray Morrow, bride-
elect of Jack Cook, was honoree
Wednesday afternoon at a tea
shower at the community center
in Jean.
The bride's table was covered
with lace over white centered with
vases of crepe myrtle. Guests
names were secured for the bride’s
book throughout the evening by
Shirley Biggers, Jo Ann Glover,
and Mary Helen Kunkel.
Hostesses for the party were
Mrs. Hoyt Huffman. Mrs. Jum
Simmons, Mrs. J. 0. Presley and
Mrs. G. 0. Clayton.
Punch was served from a crystal
set table of white with white cake
squares to those who called dur-
ing the afternoon: Mmes Ray
Morrow. Frank Cook, Willis Casey,
Edsel Simmons, W. C. Sims, Clif-

week end with their sister and
aunt, Mrs Tom Fields and Mr

While here they attended the
home dbming at Eliasville Mrs.
Long was oragnist for the Bap-
tist church in the early 1900's
and played the piano for the ser-
vices Sunday and a sing-song after
the program Sunday afternoon
They met many of *o‘ld timers"
and reported a wonderful time
and are looking forward to anoth-
er gathering next year.
