Mrs. Esther Wolf
Celebrates 86th
Birthday Thursday
Mn Esther Wolf celebrated her
86th birthday last Thursday when
open house was held by her daugh-
ter. Mrs. Ben C. Andrews in this
city.
The refreshment table was cen-
tered with an arrangement of
orchid and'plttk flowers over a lace
cloth. Punch, coffee, and birthday
cake were served friends calling
during the afternoon. 1
Mrs. Wolf was born in 1867 near
Smith Palls, Canada, and moved to
the United States with her family
when she was two. and to Archer
County in 1876 She recalls many
interesting early-day experiences
in the pioneer days of this area
Mr. Wolf died last year. Their
children are Mrs. Ben C. Andrews
and Mrs. Mary Bradshaw, both of
Graham, and W D. Wolf of Olney.

Texas and Mr and Mrs Bud Price
of Tyler, Texas who were enroute
to__the Jfces! Coast for a vacation.
Mr Pricj returned recently
from a two weeks visit in Tyler
with his son, Bud Price and fam-
ily and met a cousin. Mrs Elsie
Gilliam of Lynchburg. Va , whom
he had not seen in 19 years.

Honored with Shower
Pfc and Mrs William J. Reed,
a recent bride and groom, were
honored with a bridal shower Sat-
urday evening, 8 o’clock at the
Murray school house. Hostesses
were Mrs C. H Fuller, Mrs. P. E.
Mueller, and Mrs. M. L. Lowrance.
The game room war'decorated
in white, the bride's chosen £olor.
Games of telegrams, matrimony
and scrambled lovers were played.
The beautiful array of gifts were
presented to the honorees as the
"big prixe "
The table centerpiece was a doll
made of a rolling pin, and was
presented to the hride with the
groom reading, “In time of peace,
I'll roll your bread, In time of war
I'll mall your head.”
