Paragould Cousin.
With a similarly elaborate ceremony
amid the same scenes that marked the
nuptials of her cousin, eight yars ago,
Miss Minnie Alleen BerJ _, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Bertig of
Paragould, Ark., will become the bride
of Lee Pollack, wealthy shirt manu-
facturer of Cincinnati,O., at the Plant-
ers Hotel Tuesday evening.
The entire fourth floor of the hotel,
45 rooms, has been reserved for out-
of-town guests, and the entire parlor
floor has been i reserved for the wed-
ding day.
In June, 1906, Miss Jean Bertig,
daughter of A. Bertig of Paragould,
was married to Daniel W. Kempner,
wealthy cotton broker of Galveston,
Tex., and one of the experts who will
speak at the convention of the Na-
tional Trade Council, which opens in
St. Louis, January 21.
A. Bertig and his brother, Solomon
Bertig, operate a chain of stores and
bakeries in Arkansas and surround- <
ing States.
On their frequent trips to St. Louis
both have stopped at the Planters al-
most from the time of its construction,
and, calling it their "second home,"
arranged for the nuptials of their re-
spective daughters to be held there. a
Mr. and Mrs. Kempner will arrive
from Galveston on a special train to-a
morrow morning,' and other guests
from many cities will be on hand to
attend the ceremony, which will be tl
solemnized at 6:30 p. m. by Rabbi
Samuel Sale.
