Mrs. Billy Mack Buck
PRETTY DOUBLE-RING
CEREMONY TUESDAY FOR
DORIS STONE-BILL BUCK i
l
Culminating a romance of their j
school days, Miss Doris Stone;
was married to Billy Mack Buckj
in a beautiful double-ring cere-;
mony at the College Avenue Bap-
tist Church Tuesday evening,
Dec. 16, at 7:30 o’clock. The
pastor, the Rev. Billy Roland, of-
ficiated, and the bride’s father
gave her in marriage.
Doris is the only daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George Stone and
is indeed an attractive young
lady. Since her graduation here
last year, she has been employ-
ed in the offices of Staffin-Johns,
where she endeared herself to
both employers a;id fellow work-
ers.
The groom, Billy Mack, is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Buck
and has long been a favorite
with the Mirror force, since he
was employed with us for sev-
eral years before entering the
Navy: He is indeed a splendid
young man and we are glad with
him in his new happiness.
For her wedding the bride
chose a becoming sky blue- faille
suit, with winter white hat -and
gloves. She carried a white Bi-
ble topped with pink elf rose-

happy life for Doris and Bill

furnished the nuptial music and union and in celebration of Mrs.
Lamar Johnson and Glen Roe Fischgrabe’s birthday,
j served as ushers. The marriage
1 was witnessed only by relatives
and a few close friends.
The church was beautifully de-
corated with arrangements of
pink disbuds and candles, mak-
ing a most impressive scene for
the uniting of these two young
lives.
After a short wedding trip,
they will return here for the
holidays and on Jan. 4, the groom
