Wiley College was founded in 1873, and is one of the first predominately African-American Colleges west of the Mississippi River.

Cincinnati, O." There is a handwritten signature on the front cover in black ink as well as other handwritten notations. The top, left-hand corner is missing from page 53 (and the top right corner of page 54) which has resulted in some missing text.
