Death Comes At
Home Of Daughter
Mrs. R. E. McDonald

pected. She died peacefully Mon-
day at 10 p. m.
Mrs. Morrow was the fourth of
eight children bom to General Sam
Houston and Margaret Lea Hous-
ton. She was born at Huntsville,
April 9, 1850, and spent her child-
hood there, at Independence and at
Austin during her father’s incum-
bency as governor. Sha waa edu-
cated at Baylor College when it was
located at Independence, and in
_ 1871 was married at Georgetown
g Morrow, . ... _..................
The couple moved west in the
early 1880’s, for Mr. Morrow’s
health settling in Abilene in 1885
Mr. Morrow died a few years after
ward. In 1889 Mrs. Morrttw was
appointed postmistress at Abilene,
serving for 23 years. She resigned
in 1911. During more recent years
she had divided her time between
Abilene and Stamford, in the
homes of her daughters, Mrs. J. B,
Heitchew, formerly Miss Maude
