The door shattered a big plate

striking out seven men. He did
not issue a pass, but hit one mar.
His control was perfect. With
three balls and no strike, Graham
would curve the next three right
over. It was some pitching, and
the splendid exhibition of pitching
was backed up by some splendid
fielding. There were some errors
made, it is true, but these were
atoned for by rapid fielding of dif-
ferent chances. A fast double,
from Stillman to Brewster to Me-
Larry averted what threatened to
be trouble. Atkins got on first on
Pratt’s error. Tanner hit to Still-
man, who threw to Brewster in
time to head off Atkins and Brew
ster snapped the ball to McLarry
and Tanner. Griscom struck out.
The locals got after Corzine, the
Ravenna southpaw, in the fourth.
Pratt got to first on an infield pop
and both were' safe. Stillman
made a beautiful pinch hit, scor-
ing Pratt. Brewster followed with
another safety, scoring Potts, and
McLarry scored Brewster, and
Roberson hit safe, scoring McLar-
ry. Most of the hits secured off the
little southpaw came in this inn-
ing, and they came in a bunch,
scoring four runs. It was some
lovely sequential bingling, the
kind thrt Will win any ball game.
After that one bad inning Gorzine
tightened up and pitched good
ball. He caused eleveu of the lo-
cals to whiff the atmosphere and
allowed only seven hits.
made a circus catch in left field,
robbing Mosely of a seemingly sure
double. Stillman also got a couple
of seemingly safe ones. Pratt at
third did great work. True he
made a couple of errors, but he al-
so got away with some hard
chances and made some swell
throws.
Today’s game will lie the decid-
ing one. Hancock will work for
Bonham and Edmonson for the
visitors. Both are good pitchers
and the game should be worth go-
ing a long ways to see.
