THE PROFIT STORY
One of the most persistent and dangerous of popular il-
lusions has to do with business profits. Great numbers of
people think thev are far larger than thev actually are
Here are a few salient facts contained in a booklet issued
bv the Department of Commerce:

Rattan, Mrs. Cecil Childers of
Lone Oak, and Horace Toles of
Cooper. They also have four
grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
Mrs. Toles joined the Baptist
Church many years ago, and
ins wife is a Methodist. Asked
about iis political affiliations,
Mr. Toles said “I’m a full
blooded Democrat.”
Airs. Toles is now totally
blind. Due to cataracts, she lost
the sight of one eye four years
ago, and the other eye was
blinded a year ago. She is also
a diabetic, and the disease has
caused several of her toenails
to drop off, making it hard for
hi i to waik. She uses a cane
and can take a few steps
across the room when guided.
Her husband’s health has been
failing the past year, and he
underwent major kidney sur-
gury last June, However, lie
some times comes to town when
th.‘ weather is warm and chats
with old friends.
Mrs. Pearl Gray, sister of
Fmmit Kiser, stays with the
couple during the day, cooking
for them and doing the house*
work. Th< ir son, Horace Toles
stays with them at night.
