REMEMBER YOUR M01HER.
Every great man in the history
of the country has taken advan-
tage of each opportunity to declare
that his success in life was due to
the training and uplifting influ-
ences of his mother. It is a safe
statement to say that if all of her
boys had followed mother's teach-
ings, the world would be as near
Paradisal as the human mind can
conceive. For was there ever a
mother who led her sons into evil
wayst Was there ever a mother
who gave him advice that was
harmful! Was there ever a moth
er who did not dedicate her life to
instilling in him the highest prin-
ciples of manhood!
Yet, with all the tender care she
has bestowed upon her boys, moth-
ers have received slight credit from
the world at large—the worl 1 of
which they are the biggest part.
So it would seem that at last she
is to receive some recognition for
the wonders she has wrought.
It is appropriate that on this
sacred day mention should be made
of what the fireat Ruler thinks of
mothers. In many places in the
Bible she is likened almost to the
augels. At least in one place her
consideration for her ooys is used I
to illustrate the very love of God
Himself for those who follow Him.
Iu Isaiah 66:13 we read:
“As one whom his mother com-1
forteth, so will I comfort you, and
ye shall be comforted in Jerusa-
lem.”
Thus we see that even God con-
siders a mother's devotion to her!
son as the highest type of tender-
ness and the only worldly devotion
that could 1m? compared to His
own. Frequent reference is made I
to the “mothers in Israel,” and in
Psalms 113:9 David refers to “a
joyful mother ot children.”
Mary, the mother of Jesus, is
exalted, and it is plain that the
inspired writers of the Bible were
impressed with the idea that God
considered motherhood one of the
holiest of states.
It is appalling to think of the

ON MOTHERS’ DAY
Who ever has been just the littlest girl
With an ache in her baby heart,
Or the littlest bit of a baby lx>y,
Whose tear-dimmed eyes and smart
A mother has folded against her breast
And soothed long, long ago,
Will wear on their breasts on Mothers’ Day
A rose as white as snow.
Who ever has cuddled .against the heart
Of a mother as night came down,
And lights dashed cheerily through the dark
From windows of laue and town,
And listened the songs of the mother-love—
The soft sweet by-o los—
Then the love in his heart, on Mothers’ Day
Will bloom iu a snow white rose.
Oh, mother love! Would the Mother’s Day
And her love were with us yet,
As they were in the dear old days agone
That none of us e’er forget!
But whether she’s with us or gone before
Where God’s blossoms blow,
We will wear a rose on Mothers’ Day
And here or there she'll know.

The Tungsten lamp in the Holophane refieotor gives a marvelous
distribution of light. Fixtures—after a fashion—are to lie had

These three, the Tungsten lamp, the Holophane shade aud the

as near the sunlight as can be had, without calling it “sunlight.”

For a long time the Sunday

has been badly crowded. They
have built three rooms south of
the church building but this is not
sufficient. They have just pur-
chased the six room residence

adjoining the church lot on the
west aud carpenters and other
workmen have been busy this week
arranging it for class rooms so that
it may lie occupied tomorrow.
