Sick
Blood
Feed pale girls on Scott’s
Emulsion.
We do not need to give all
the reasons why Scott’s
Emulsion restores the strength
and flesh and color of good
health to those who suffer
from sick blood.
The fact that it is the best
preparation of Cod Liver Oil,
rich in nutrition, full of healthy
stimulation is a suggestion as
to why it docs what it does.
Scott’s Emulsion presents
'Cod Liver Oil at its best,
fullest in strength, least in
:taste.
Young women in their
“ teens ” are permanently cured
of the peculiar disease of the
blood which shows itself in
paleness, weakness and nervous-
ness, by regular treatment
with Scott’s Emulsion.
It is a true blood food and
is naturally adapted to the cure
of the blood sickness from
which so many young women
suffer.
We will be qlad to send
a sample to any sufferer.
P>e sure that this picture in
the form of a label is on the
wrapper of every bottle of
Emulsion you buy.

My Bhin was almost y*llow, eyes
sunken, tongue coated, pain continu-
ally in back and sides, no appetite,
growing weaker day by day. Three

The Race for Mayor and Marshal was
Lnusua ly Lively.
Promptly at 8 o’clock Wednesday
morning, the polls were opened and
the voting began which kept up at
an interesting pace all day. A strong
ticket was out which made the mat-
ter of selection a difficult tusk. There
were were 197 votes cast which was
one more thau the number of poll tax
receipts. However, the city failed
to poll all the votes it is entitled to
for more than one was known lo vote
of whom the law did not requite
the payment ot the tax. This is the
first election in Cooper since the poll
tux amendment carried and not a few
who had neglected their duty in this
respect were made to see the error of
their way. Some men who had paid
all their other tax had lo be turned
down for this alone and among tint
number were some wno were much
interested in the election of personal
friends whose names were on the city
ticket. Though the race wa9 close,
the people are satisfied with the re
suit. The live aldermen, Henslee,
Albright, Morrill, It ltlifT and Ca
been will make a strong force and al
together the entire corpse of city ofh
cers is one of which any town ungbi
well feel proud. Below is given the
vote in full;

Easter.
Sunday will he Easter, a day of re-
1 joining throughout all the Christian
world. Probably no festival in the
esunsuan cuurcu Mas so mucu of tbe
sacred in its celebration as tie anni-
versary of the “Re urection’’. Christ-
mas aud Easter are the two feasts
which all churches of Christ acknow-
ledge but the character of the festi-
vities held in honor of the former are
more often of a secular nature than
religeous. Celebrated by the early
Christians in lieu of the passover it
was to them a day of great rejoicing
and many and beautiful were the
customs observed in honor of our
Lord’s resurection. As in days when
enemies were forgiven, prisoners re-
leased, and wandering exiles called
home, even now is the Eastertide a
season in which ottr hearts should be
purged of all malice and selfish
thought, to allow the resurection of
j that winch is noblest, purest, and
best. Corniug at the time of nature’s
] awakening from the dormant life ot
j winter, there is a responsive element
in the human breast ilia' would throw
off the chrysalis of narrowness, avar-
ice and every tendency toward sin
and stand a new being filled with the
life sustaining, soul satisfying good-
ness which is distilled from the ten-
der and loving Heart of the Master,
Christ. There is no worldly gift
comparable with the realization of
being, no feeling of possession like
that which the sou! experiences wheu
it draws along its veins the ichor of
life. It is the province ot this holy
festival to teach eyery yearuiug heart
to see, to feel and to understand the
beauty, glory, and grandeur ot liv-
ing. Through the chilly months pre-
ceding, we have nursed and tender-
ly cared for our (lowers that we may
cull the prettiest and put them on our
altars and don our prettiest gowns
that we may symbolize without, the
renewal of beauty within. The an-
glo-saxon name tor Easter was god-
dess of spring or light and she was
beautilul as the early dawn and while
the selection of a heathen name lor
a Christian testival does not seem
computable, yet there is nothing amis
after all; for tbe nation that knew
not The Christ uiereiy did honor to
the excellence of His laws. So may
we be the better for having passed
another Easter and as they come and
go, may their recutonce bring
strength to every fainting heart and
peace to every s arrow ng soul.
