Attends National Convention
Dr. L. Daylu Yeager, a native
of Pecan Gap, will travel by jet
to Philadelphia, Pa. Tuesday,
March 14 to attend the Indus-
trial Education National Conven-
tion, where he will be one of the
select hosts for the occasion. Ho
will roturn Saturday, March 18
to Starkville, Miss., where he is
a professor at Mississippi State
University.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Marsh
and daughter, Angela, Mesquite,
were weekend visitors of Mr. and
Mrs. Samuel Marsh Jr. and chil-
dren and Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Marsh Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Loftin,
Wichita Falls, were weekend
visitors of his mother, Mrs. Pearl
Loftin, and other relatives here.
Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Cummings
were guests Friday, March 10 of
their daughter, Mrs. Robert
Wolfe, and family, Mesquite.

Mrs. Florence Sandlin return-
ed home Saturday after spending
the past two weeks in Dallas for
treatment following recent sur-
gery. Her daughter, Mrs. Martha
Arnold, and her grandson of Dal-
las, accompanied her to her home
and spent the weekend with Mrs.
Sandlin, Miss Pearl Cummings,
Mr. and Mrs. Orman Roderick
and Rita. Mrs. Sandlin is report-
ed much improved.

was here for the weekend with
her daughter and husband, Mr.
and Mrs. Noel Bowen, who pre-
pared a dinner Sunday in honor
of her mother’s birthday anni-
versary which was Saturday
March 11.

patient of St. Joseph’s Hospital in

medical patient of Janes Hospital

ed his mother, Mrs. Ruth Sand-

PECAN GAP CLUB
The Pecan Gap Club met Tues-
day, March 7 in the home of
Mrs. Myrtle Houston with nine
members present. The door prize
was won by Mrs. Jessie Young.
Mrs. Houston read an interest-
ing article which she prepared
entitled “Celabrities” Club mem-
bers were the celebrities. She
read aonther article “I’d Like to
Say”.
The club members have as a
project sending birthday cards
and handkerchiefs to all resi-
dents of Oaks Manor Nursing
Home in Commerce. They will
also spend the day in Big Town
Tuesday, March 21, which is their
regular meeting date.
