I am in a peck of a fix this
week. A lady who lived in an
adjoining apartment to us went
away and left her electric sewing
machine with my wife. Not hav-
ing anything to sew, and natur-
ally a woman is going to use a
sewing machine for something,
she went to town and bought
her three new dresses, and
dresses have been piling out ot
that machine like a corn shelter.
It used to be a saying that a
woman could set at the old-fash-
ioned machine and put her foot
