RELIEF FROM CURSE
OF CONSTIPATION
A Battle Creek physician says, “Con-
stipation is responsible for more mis-
ery than any other cause.”
But immediate relief has been found.
A tablet called Rexall Orderlies has
been discovered. This tablet attracts
water from the system into the lazy,
dry, evacuating bowel called the colon.
The water loosens the dry food waste
and causes a gentle, thorough, natural
movement without forming a habit or
ever increasing the dose.
Stop suffering from constipation.
Chew a Rexall Orderlie at night. Next
day bright. Get 24 for 25c today at the
nearest Rexall Drug Store, DuBose
Drug Store.
An Iowa man has perfected a new
kind of wheat that looks like barley
and tastes like oats. Sounds like just
one more thing for the farmers to
raise too much of.
A birthday dinner was given Sunday
June 1, on Ransom Island, to W. F.
|Alderson, the occasion being his 80th
| birthday. Turkey, baked chicken,
'pies, cakes and other delicacies were
! served to the large numbers who had
[gathered to do the aged man honor.
; Among those present were his wife,
his son. W. T.” Alderson and family of
'Taft: his daughter. Mrs. L. F. Whit-
! ley and family of Gregory, his grand-
I daughter, Mrs. Clias. Edwards and
'family of Berterville and an old friend
i Mrs. Mitchell and family of Taft. Mr.
! Alderson had twelve grandchildren
and one great grand child present at
this interesting event. Mr. Alderson
lias eight children living, three of
whom live in South Texas and also
has 43 grand children and five great
grand children living.
Mr. Alderson is an eminent example
of ti e healthfulness and longevity of
peo’0« in South Texas. He is still en-
joying the best of health and gives
promises of many recurrences of the
pleasurable event of last Sunday.

What does it profit a country to
go republican if the stock market goes
democratic?
Normal times are those in which
a cow pasture is a golf course instead
of city lots.
Perhaps you’ve noticed that the
w,ild life that stays up all night be-
longs to the cat family.

Smokers:
Test this for yourself:
Velvet Smoking Tobacco is
different — different in aroma,
different in flavor. It is an all
’round tobacco for pipe and cig-
arette—note the cut, just right
for rolling.
Say what you please, there is
nothing that mellows leaf tobacco
like ageing in wooden casks for
two years or more.
If you roll your own, you’ll
find in every tin of Velvet the
makings of about 50 of the
best cigarettes you ever smoked.
Velvet tobacco is made and
cut just exactly right for rolling.
If you prefer to smoke a pipe,
then here’s a tobacco that hits
the mark.
Test it out for yourself!
Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co.
In a pipe: It hits the mark
. . In a cigarette: Just exactly right
