A doctor called on one of his patients who had
suffered financial reverses and found him crushed by
his losses. “Everything is gone!" he exclaimed.
‘What?" said the doctor. "I'm sorry to hear that
your wife is dead...and that you've lost your
character." The doctor continued to name one
valuable asset after another until the man could
stand it no longer. He protested violently to the
doctor, who said, "But I thought you said you LOST
EVERYTHING. You have lost none of the things
worthwhile.''

sleep; books, but not brains; food, but not an
appetite; a house, but not a home; medicine, but not
health; sin's pleasures, but not salvation's peace.
Many people, after losing their wealth, have
discovered that THEY ARE RICHER THAN THEY
THOUGHT.

See you next week, and remember...better to be a

and a poor Christian!
